ELIE KASSAS
Elie, a naturalist at heart, has always felt the importance of the environment. From a young age, Elie has been interested in the interrelationship between nature and the built landscape. Having grown up in the suburbs outside of the city of Reading Pennsylvania, Elie spent his youth in exploration and observation, quietly questioning the line between man and nature.
This ever present curiosity about the world around him drew Elie towards an education in STEM. He was originally interested in studying civil engineering, but switched directions during his first year of college. As an artist and engineer, Elie was drawn towards the creative problem solving required in the field of architecture. He transferred programs and was awarded his Bachelors of Architecture in May of 2024.
Elie believes that the goal of architectural practice is to create solutions for the unique needs of each individual client, as well as creating meaningful spaces. He strives to do this through a greater understanding of the construction process and assemblies involved. Elie has volunteered his design skills in community development efforts as well as working on construction sites to gain practical knowledge. Elie is seeking his architectural licensing and is very excited to gain industry experience alongside the Windigo team.
Outside the office, Elie enjoys spending time in nature with his dog, a red-heeler named Benjamin Franklin. He also enjoys creative pursuits such as playing the guitar and taking pictures of wildlife. When not creating or meditating, Elie enjoys cooking and spending time with his family.
