Kelly Weiss

Kelly has always been surrounded by architecture and design due to her family’s construction business. As a child, upon entering unfinished homes her father was building, she would envision what the space would look like completed and would have fun guessing what unfinished space she was in. This playful time started getting serious when she enrolled in design courses during high school, then continued on studying at Pratt Institute receiving a BFA in Interior Design.

Throughout her college career she obtained knowledge of different aspects within the field, including Interior Design, Architecture, Furniture, Materials and the Arts. 2D, 3D, and 4D media such as hand drafting, computer drafting, model making, rendering software, etc were also obtained during her schooling years.

Kelly’s excitement for design revolves around creating functional, beautiful, spaces that ignite people's emotional interest. Upon designing a space, Kelly will first understand the client's needs, then do extensive research and designing to create a space suitable for their needs. Throughout the design process, Kelly will construct and create design presentations to pitch to the clients or her peers. Once the project's direction is established, the ideas on paper will start to come to life with the curation of furnishings and materials within the space.

At Windigo, Kelly collaborates with the architects on all design elements of a project. Whether assembling material sample boards, meeting with product reps, or composing virtual renderings for client presentations, Kelly’s collection of many skills makes her a versatile interior designer with technical skill.

Outside of Windigo, Kelly enjoys a busy life of attending social events with loved ones. She is always on the go. When she does have the occasional down time, she enjoys painting and gardening.
