Far Brook School - entry Stair

Far Brook School wishes to address the aesthetics of one of its principal entries onto campus. The existing stair is functional but is principally constructed of basic structural concrete and thus presents itself as cold, austere, and out of character with Far Brook’s campus environment and feel. Design options to be considered vary in scale and scope from refinishing and relandscaping the existing structure, to replacing the stair in kind with new materials, or replacing and reconfiguring the stair all together as an enhanced public space. 

 

In addition to the design of the stairs, overall campus accessibility will be assessed during the design phases and potential options will be proposed. These options may become their own separate project at a later date.
