TEWKSBURY, NJ RESIDENCE
Situated on a steeply sloped site overlooking the hills of Tewksbury, NJ, this private residence was designed to complement the local style and emphasize the view. The client, inspired by the traditional architecture of the surrounding farm land, asked Windigo to design a modern house with a nineteenth century farmhouse feel.
The house nestles into the hillside to keep the front façade to a low two stories and allow the lower level to spill out onto the rear terracing with a pool and cabana. An abundance of porches and an extensively glazed breakfast area provide ample opportunity for taking in the spectacular view.
Exposed salvage barn beams in the kitchen and great room, rough stone foundation walls and fireplaces and wide plank wood floors echo the farmhouse style.
